It’s Candied Bacon season. 🥓 Breakfast? Dessert? Cocktails? Yes, yes, and yes. I like my candied bacon with a kick. It’s so easy to make.
Thick sliced bacon
1/2 cup (or so) light brown sugar
Freshly ground black pepper
Crushed Red Pepper
Line a baking sheet with foil. Place a cookie rack on top of foil.
Combine spices with brown sugar.
Evenly space bacon slices on cookie rack.
Lightly press brown sugar and spices onto each piece of bacon. Add more crushed red pepper at the end if you want a little more kick.
Preheat oven to 375. Cook for 20-30 minutes.
Let bacon slightly cool for a few minutes and then remove it from the cookie rack.
Stores well for 2-3 days in an airtight container.
