Seven Layer Brownie Bars (Gluten Free!!)

This recipe is so versatile!  If you have a box of brownie mix in the house and a stocked pantry of dessert worthy ingredients, this recipe is worth a try.  I love the simplicity of the recipe – no dirty bowls!  I also love the fact that this is as easily made with a gluten free mix as it is with a regular boxed brownie mix.  I have yet to find a gluten free brownie mix that actually tastes good without being doctored up a bit so I was thrilled to experiment with this concoction.
Ingredients:

1 stick butter
1 package brownie mix
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Melt 1 stick of butter in the bottom of a  9 x 13 pan while the oven is warming up.  (If you wish, you can line the bottom of the pan with foil to make the brownies easier to remove when they are done.)  Sprinkle the brownie mix over the melted butter and slightly press into the bottom of the pan.  Sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and nuts over the brownie mix.  Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top of everything.  Cook at 350 for about 30 minutes.  Cut into squares.  Enjoy!
