Did you all see Ina Garten’s Instagram video where she mixed up a “small” simple cranberry cosmo at 9am during the first couple of weeks of the quarantine? If you haven’t seen this video, you must. I was laughing so hard and it definitely spoke to me. (Click here for a link to see it.)
Even if we aren’t in the middle of a global pandemic, it’s always a great time of year to mix up a refreshing cocktail like this super simple cranberry cosmopolitan cocktail. You probably have all the ingredients you need! Jump to Recipe
If you like vodka, this is the drink for you. There are many different ways to make a simple cranberry cosmo. You can make it sweet or tart depending on your preference. It looks sweet, but it’s really not a sweet drink!
A Few Key Ingredients
I like to use freshly squeezed orange juice, cranberry juice cocktail, vodka, and some triple sec or Cointreau. You can make this cocktail a little less potent by adding some more cranberry juice to it.
Use A Cocktail Shaker
You will want to use a cocktail shaker to make this cocktail chilled so you can get that nice, crisp taste. The cranberry juice cocktail gives this drink a little bit of a tart kick, while the freshly squeezed orange juice adds a little sweetness.
Make 2 Drinks, Save One For Later
Even if my husband is home, he is not a big vodka fan. This recipe makes enough for 2 cocktails and I usually only have one. Store the extra cocktail in a glass jar in the refrigerator and have the second one on another night. Just shake it again with some ice and enjoy!
