Cucumber Caprese Salad

A caprese salad (pronounced “ka-pray-say”) is generally tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil with a little bit of olive oil and maybe some balsamic vinegar drizzled over the top. For our salad, we added an extra layer of sliced cucumbers and omitted the vinegar.

Directions: Slice tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and cucumbers. Cut a few slices of basil into thin ribbons. Layer all the ingredients and drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the top. Sprinkle a little coarse sea salt. Enjoy!
